Deepdaan at Vishram Ghat is a traditional ritual of offering illuminated diyas to the Yamuna, creating a spiritual experience along the riverfront.
The Deepdaan at Vishram Ghat was a grand spiritual and cultural experience executed by Janus Koncepts as part of Shri Krishnotsav 2026.
Vishram Ghat is one of Mathura’s most sacred ghats. According to tradition, Lord Krishna rested here after defeating Kansa, giving the ghat its name. It is also known for the Yamuna Aarti and Mathura Parikrama.
As part of Shri Krishnotsav 2026, Janus Koncepts brought people together from across India to light 5,000+ diyas, complemented by artistic lighting and on-ground execution, creating an immersive Deepdaan experience at Vishram Ghat.
Deepdaan adds a devotional dimension to Krishna Janmashtami celebrations, with illuminated diyas symbolising prayer and devotion along the Yamuna.
